KUFcakes are bespoke luxury cakes designed in close cojunction with the client. Using a marzipan printer it is possible to print patterns and imagery onto marzipan and fondant and cover the cakes to make edible sculptures that fit their surroundings. Taste is as important as the look and the cakes should be conversation starters and trigger our curiosity and interaction with each other.

Cake and flødeboller commissoned for Financial Times - How To Spend It, italy
The Danish classic treat, Flødeboller, interpreted by KUFstudios and made into geometric shapes. A Flødebolle is a soft italian meringue on a marzipan base covered in chocolate. The white chocolate is coloured with natural powders and grains, like freeze dried fruits and black ground sesame seeds and the marzipan is at least 66 % almonds and often mixed with other nuts like, walnuts, hazelnuts etc.
Wallpaper* magazine commisioned KUFcakes to do a cake inspired by the location for the shoot – a beautiful house designed by Carmody-Groake. These images are from the “making of”, before the actual shoot. Images, filming and editing by Dunja Opalko. See the feature on Wallpaper* here.
